Working a job that does not bring you joy can be emotional, mentally, and physically draining. However, many of us still continue the torture. Here are some key signs that your job might not be the right one for you.

1. You Constantly Watch The Clock.

Watching the clock constantly while working, is a good indicator that you might be working a job that is not for you. Every second of every day should be appreciated not wished away. When you fall in love with what you do, you don't wish for time to pass, rather you seek as much time as possible to do more of what you love.

2. You Never Feel Compensated Enough.

If you feel like whatever you get from your job isn't enough to compensate for what you do, then perhaps you need a career change. People who love their work get joy from what they do, monetary compensation is just the icing on the cake for them. If you are working just for a paycheck and there are no intrinsic rewards, then you might want to consider a career change.

3. While At Work, You Often Dream Of Doing Something Else.

This is definitely a major indicator that your heart is not in what you do. If your heart is set on something else, you should try and pursue that something else. Regret is one of the worst feelings of life. If you don't pursue what tugs at heart strings, you might regret it. Pursue your dream, as impractical or as impossible as it may seem. Create a plan to start doing what you love while still working your day job. Give it your all and NEVER give up, even when it starts to kick your butt! The challenges will make the pursuit more exciting.

Always do your best, even while you're at the job that you dislike. Stay positive and focused on your dreams. The rewards will eventually come.

"There are many things in life that will catch your eye, but only a few will catch your heart. Pursue these." -Michael Nolan
